it's almost Christmas

As my American friends celebrates Thanksgiving yesterday, me and my family were busy preparing for the holidays. Our Christmas tree is up, we are almost done with our Christmas shopping, and everything is just going into place. Oh I love this season so much since it's Hannah's second Christmas.

My Scrapbook Nook's December kit made everything merrier. Seeing the entire kit in person is so awesome. The holiday spirit is definitely in the air now. So, with all this rush and excitement, I was able to create my first ever Christmas themed layout.

REMEMBER THE REASON TO BE JOLLY

Journaling: Ti's the season to be jolly! My daughter's second Christmas is much more meaningful now that the season has finally come again. Her first Christmas was very nice but she is too young to realize or even know what is going on around her. This time around, we are happy to teach her the joy of the season. I'll try my best to show her what Christmas is all about. Its not just about the gifts and toys. Nothing fills us more with happiness than to see the true meaning of Christmas in our child's eye. There is no hint of greed, malice, or even jealousy. It's pure innocence and the joys that come with it. There was once a time when we are happy with just a hug from our parents. Now that we are parents ourselves, it's kind of sad to know that once upon a time, we were simply happy and content. Happy Holiday Hannah!!!

Photobucket

I used the Paper Piecing technique to create the ornaments on my layout. The bird and the plant are transparencies that came with Making Memories journaling pad that was an add-on to my kit. I love that pad so much. The black alpha's are by Prima Marketing that came with the kit.

My All Time Favorite Song

is the title for this next layout that I am about to share with you. I love the song because of its melody and its lyrics. It is the perfect song that describes my feelings towards my precious daughter, Hannah. Check it out:

Inspired by this song of Michael Ruff, I was able to create a very sentimental layout. I think the title says it all so I did not add any journaling anymore. I decided to make my title as thr main focus, I was really emotional while making this layout. I listened to the song repeatedly so that I can pour every inch of my heart to this layout.

More November Kit Layouts from My Scrapbook Nook

Thank God it's Saturday!

I have been longing for this weekend for the past few days. Everything was so busy with work and with the family that I am so stressed out. I haven't scrapped since Sunday and I am looking forward to scrap this weekend and use some new scrappy purchase that I bought last Tuesday and some free scrappy stuff that I received from the mail.

For the meantime, I would love to share to you 2 layouts that I did using My Scrapbook Nook's gorgeous November Kit featuring Lily Bee's Audrey line. This was actually my first time with LilyBee and I love it! It was easy to work with and the colors is just right, not too dark, not too bright.

Good day!

Hope each and everyone of you are doing great at the moment. As for me, I have this terrible dry cough that makes my chest so painful. I have been drinking some cough syrup like crazy because I need to get well fast since I was requested to work for 14hrs a day until the end of the week.

Definitely i will be very busy in the next couple of days so before I take my blog for granted for the rest of the week, I just want to share this layout that I did inspired by Alexis BFF layout. I love the way she added the details, the placement of the photos and the colors. She's truly amazing.

Quick Post! Quick Layout!

For today I would love to share to you a quick layout that I did using some photos capturing my DD being observant and doing what she had seen. I really love taking photos of Hannah spontaneously capturing ordinary priceless moments. These photos are very important to me because I would like to share this experience with my daughter when she's older

On this particular day, she was watching a girl playing on an arcade game. She watched closely and after the girl left, she played it like a pro.

Very Busy Week!

In the next couple of days life here at home will be very busy. Our new house is nearly completed and we need to start preparing things. We have lots of concern to address too like new furniture, sorting things to bring and not to bring, and bills and papers.

Life will be quite different so I try my best to scrap as much as I can and participate to some online crops and challenges to motivate me to scrap as much as I can.

Here was a layout that I did last weekend for SD4U's Spooktacular Crop:

Materials Used: Kaisercraft's Grunge line, Pink Paislee Alpha Sticker, and Kaisercraft Bling

The challenge was to create a layout inspired by this photograph:

Thanks for looking. Will post more projects in the next couple of days

A Sweet Friend!

I have been scrapping for a year now and I definitely owe it to all those blogs and scrappers that inspired me to try this craft. One of them is the very talented Nic Howard. I have seen and followed her blog way before I started scrapping. I was so fascinated with all her creations and talent. And she's one of the reason why I decided to start this hobby.

A few months ago Nic was looking for someone to help her edit her photos and since I am a huge fan, I voluntarily gave my service. It was my honor to help her because I would like to return the favor that I got from her, she has always been an inspiration to me. Since then I have been editing her photos and we became such good friends.

Yesterday while doing my daily routine of checking her blog, this sweet lady finished a layout using my DD's photos. It was breathtaking. I almost cried just seeing her layout with my DD on it. My DD saw it too and she immediately said "WOW, Hannah!"and she's only one.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for doing that. It is priceless. Thanks Nic!

Check out her layout of Hannah here.
