My 2010 Favorite Layouts (Jan & Feb)

I am so grateful for this year with all the opportunities and scrappy time. I was able to make over than 200 layouts, some cards and altered projects. I was also given the opportunity to design for Kaisercraft, Pebbles Inc, My Minds Eye, Nikki Sivils, GCD Studios, My Scrapbook Nook, ScrapThat!, and Yourscrapbookstash.com. I can't believe that I have only been scrapping for 2 years but have more than 9 albums and the rest are on boxes. I am loving this hobby more everyday.

Merry Christmas!!!

30mins to go and it's Christmas here in the Philippines. Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

I was so busy for the past few days with last minute shopping, groceries, gift wrapping and all the food preparation that I neglected my blog. We just arrived from church after celebrating the mass with my parents and siblings. Let me share with you some photos that I took earlier.

And here is a holiday layout that I made using Pebbles Tree House collection. This is about one of our holiday tradition. Ever since I could remember, my parents dressed me up with something red every Christmas. According to my mom, this has been passed on from their grandparents. Now that I have a child of my own, I would like to carry on with this holiday tradition with her. With the Tree House collection, I was able to achieve a holiday look by using the classic Christmas colors, red and green.

  Pebbles supplies used:
Tree House Laughter (751025)
Tree House View (751027)
Tree House Chips (744114)
Red Glitter Candy Dots (744228)

Other supplies used:

another Christmas layout

Can you believe it? 12 more days to go and it's Christmas already! I know most of us are very busy with all the Christmas preparation. I am done with my gift shopping, and Christmas decorations now, I just need to printout all my Christmas tags and I am all set.

I am very busy lately with scrapping some Christmas photos from last year. I have so much photos back then that I wasn't able to scrap. Here is a page that I made using a photo of Hannah taken last year. I have also made a sketch for everyone to use.

altered frame as gift

There are so many ways to save this holiday season and one of them is by altering items found in your home. For my project, I have used an old photo frame and altered it with patterned paper and embellishments from the New Arrival Boy collection. By simply using one patterned paper, I was able to cover the body of the frame with paper rolls. This technique added dimension to the original frame that I started with. The great thing about Pebbles embellishments is that the work has already been made for you. By simply placing them together, I was able to create a beautiful layering of design. This project is so easy to do and you should try it out!

New Arrival Boy Precious (75107)
New Arrival Boy Chips (744116)
New Arrival Boy Felt Embellishments (747001)

Thankful layout

Living in a 3rd world country is very difficult that is why I am thankful for a lot of things in my life right now. Being alive and able to survive everyday is a blessing to me and my family. I am grateful that God is keeping us healthy and strong to overcome everyday problems and trials. I am thankful for having a very supportive and loving husband that I can rely and depend on. I am also thankful for being blessed with a very smart and gorgeous baby girl. These are the most I am grateful for!

Waiting for Christmas- a Nook layout

The wait is almost over since it's December already. Some of us are finished with the decorations and gift shopping but as for me, I need to hurry up because these days will come so fast. It will be a very busy month for all of us adults.

But for the young ones, these days will be the longest since they are very much anticipating Christmas day. You will hear repeated questions like "How many days left before Christmas?" "Is Santa here?" "I want this and that for Christmas!" It might be really annoying sometimes but that is how they cope during this season.

I was able to capture one of this moment on a layout that I made using the Nook December kit. Here, Hannah was quite impatient with the idea of waiting for Christmas day.

"Waiting for Christmas 2010" by LG Belarmino - My Scrapbook Nook December Kit: MME Holly Jolly patterned papers, diecut and chipboard, Maya Road snowflake chipboards, Jillibean journalling sprouts, Pink Paislee sticker alpha and twine. Others: Petaloo flowers, MME brad, pins, Shimmerz paint and border punches

Altered Wreath

I have been saving this wreath for a few months now waiting for a bright coloured collection to use with it. When I received the Seaside collection, I immediately knew that I will finally be able to use the wreath. The colours and patterns of the Seaside papers are perfect! With a little improvising, I turned this regular wreath into a wall clock.

Wreath Clock by LG Belarmino – Kaisercraft BOP Funky Wreath (SB2077), Seaside double sided patterned papers, Homemade Rustic Recipe paper (P571) and deep yellow rhinestone  (SB712). Others: alpha and clock device.

To add the clock, I have used the cardboard packaging that came with the wreath and covered it with a brown patterned paper from the Homemade line released a few months ago.
