my first DT layout for CC!

Happy Monday everyone!

Just sharing my first DT layout for Cosmo Cricket. I have not received their new releases yet but they have sent me some previous collections that I loved. One of this is the Delovely line. I think I can never stop loving this collection. The bright fun colors and the gorgeous patters is simply amazing. I made this fun layout by just using the mini deck.

You can read more about this layout at Cosmo Cricket's blog here. Thank you so much to all those who left some positive comments there.

Gold Medal **Nook Feb Kit**

Do you know that my 2 year old daughter received two gold medals this year already? Yup! She started attending school this school year, nursery 1, at 2yrs and 2mos old. Last January, she won her first gold medal at their school's Speaking Contest. She recited the poem "Share a Rainbow."

Last week, they had their annual Talent Contest and once again, Hannah took home her 2nd gold medal dancing to the tune of "Hey Mickey." Unfortunately, I was'nt able to take photos when she got her first gold medal but was able to take a video of it. So this time around, I made sure to take photos so that I can scrap them. This is something worth keeping. A memory that should be preserved on a layout. I am so proud of her.

Here is a layout that I made using the Nook Feb kit. With all the purple on this kit, it was perfect for these photos:

This layout was also inspired by one of  Willea's gorgeous layout that was featured on this month's Member Layout Inspiration at the Nook.

it's time to weigh in

Another week has passed and here I am again giving you an update of my weight loss journey.

Just a recap, I started at 61kilos last February 7 (134lbs). Last week , Feb 16, I weighed in at 58.5kilos (129lbs). Today, I am at 56.5kilos (124lbs). Almost 5kilos in 15days. Not bad at all. I used to lose 5kilos in a week before but I am taking it slow because we are trying to get pregnant.

Here is a snapshot of my weigh in today:

I am also thrilled to let you know that I was able to create a layout using the photo I've shared last week. I rarely scrap my photos because my confidence got so low after I gained all this weight. But with this challenge, I can see myself scrapping more About Me Pages.

I have used Scrapbook Circle's February Kit "Happy Days." I just love the combination of papers and embellishments that came with the kit. It was so much fun to work with. Click here to read more about this fantastic kit!

Weight loss update

I have mentioned more than a week ago that I am currently participating on a weight challenge (click here) so here I am now giving an update of my journey to wellness.

My end goal is to lose 10 kilos (my ideal weight which is around 110lbs). My previous weight taken Feb. 7 was 61kilos (134lbs), now I am at 58.5kilos (will take a photo tomorrow morning). I lost around 5lbs!!!! YAY! If you know me personally, you will see the difference immediately when you look at my face because my face is always the first thing that gets fat/thin.

Here is a photo of myself taken last month and last February 14:

I am so happy to have lost a little weight and I do hope I will be able to reach my goal by April. I do know that as I get closer to my ideal weight, it will be harder. I just plan to continue my original plan which is eat less carbs and Timeworks workout at least 5x a week. Also, I will try the new fad in weight loss which is Zumba.

Wish me luck!

How to Tuesday

I just want to invite you to Pebbles Inc blog today. I shared a patching technique that I applied to this layout:

February 13, 2011

I am getting the hang of it

So I don't do cards that often but lately, I have been trying to involve myself more with cardmaking. I got most of my inspiration from My Scrapbook Nook cards activities at the forum. The card section offers a variety of challenges, techniques and ideas. The examples from the DTs, as well as the members, are beyond gorgeous. They made me want to hone my cardmaking skills.

Here is a card that I made using the Nook Feb kit. I played with layering and fussy cutting here. It has a romantic feel to it that I found perfect for an "I Love You" sentiment.

I would like to invite you all to checkout My Scrapbook Nook's CARDS section here.
