January This Life Noted Kit

Happy Friday everyone! LG here sharing with you my last week for my weekly spread album for 2013. Here I have used the January This Life Noted kit and some elements from the December kit.

This might be my 2013 week 53 spread but I am way behind my weekly album. I decided to work on it backwards as I catch up. This time around, I will have to work on it as fast as I can so that I can start with my 2014 album. I decided to mainly focus on photos while adding some inserts here and there and just put the designs on it.

Week 53 (Dec. 29 to 31)

Unlike before, I spend so much time designing each card. This time around, I did some minimal designs to make my pacing fast. I added the journaling on my photos directly and the embellishments were concentrated on the inserts. I also turned my photos to black and white to make the colors pop since the January This Life Noted kit is composed of some fun colorful elements.

Week 37: A Life Noted Kit by Scraptastic Club

For September This Life Noted kit, I had so much fun filling almost each box with a lot of awesome embellishments. I have also used several stamp images using the stamp set that came with the kit as well as a couple of stamps from previous kits. This week's spread is both fun and oh so colorful!
Week 37

I got so excited upon receiving the September This Life Noted kit. I am so in love with the stamp especially the splatter image-I can use it forever. The Glitz Finnley Triangles Washi Tape is now my favorite. And don't let me stop, the exclusive wood veneers is to die for. I think I have used every single piece.

Week 31: This Life Noted August Kit

For my spread, I have used the August This Life Noted kit. I celebrated my birthday along with Scraptastic Club's anniversary crop last August 3 and I can't think of any other kit that would be perfect for my birthday photos.
Here is my Week 31 spread (July 28-August 3)
Like any other This Life Noted kits, the August kit was full of surprises. I love all the journaling cards especially the 4x6 Ormolu cards. The embellishments were all fun to use. I am into layering so I enjoyed every bits of it.

Check out the close up details of some of my journaling cards:

I love working on my weekly spreads because it gave me the chance to use some leftover stuff from previous kits as well as my old stash. With The Life Noted kits, it made documenting very easy and relaxing to do. I can finish a spread in less than 2 hrs.
My usual process involves planning which photos goes with a particular journaling card. I measure everything so that I can print the perfect photo size for each and manage to include some embellishments. To avoid confusion, I label the back of the journaling card indicating which photo will be used on it.
Week 31 page 1
Measuring and printing is always the longest part for me. Once everything is printed, I just adhere everything together. Sometimes I ask my little 5yr old to help with the gluing because you can never go wrong with this project. It is double fun if I do this project with my love ones.

Week 30: This Life Noted July Kit

Hi everyone! Here is my Week 30 spread using the July This Life Noted kit.

I do know that some people are doing PL spreads by color theme so the photos they use are quite filtered the same way. Looking into this kit you will notice that it is bursting with colors. It gave me freedom to use any photos that I wanted to add.

i love how everything is very easy and fun to use. It gave me more ability to do some alteration by adding a few embellishments here and there. Here are the individual pages:

As you noticed, aside from the July PL kit, I incorporated one journaling card from the June PL kit and some scraps from the July kit. That's what great with all the kits by Scraptastic Club, they are so coordinated that you can even mix-n-match. Here are more detailed photos of some of the journaling card layouts that I did for my Week 30 spread:

Everything is so COLORFUL! I am definitely in love with the July PL kit. Definitely my favorite spread so far for this year.

PL Week 21 Using Scraptastic Club's June A Day in the Life Kit

LG here with my first attempt in using A Day in the Life kit that debuted last month.

I am very excited that Scraptastic Club joined the craze over Project Life. This is my 2nd year doing Project Life and until the release of this kit, I find it quite difficult.

Unlike most of you, Becky Higgin's Project Life is not available here in the Philippines. I end up using my stash to create my PL pages. I cut my patterned papers, create handmade embellishments, make my own journaling cards, and spent a lot of time just doing a single spread. It was definitely a challenge.

With A Day in the Life kit, I can make a single spread in 1 hour because everything that I need is there. I can just actually use the journaling cards as it is, add photos, stamp a date, and write my journaling.

Check this out:

I had so much fun creating this spread. I spent a lot of time playing with the embellishments and personalized everything. Below are the individual pages:

Aside from the PL kit, I was able to incorporate the embellishments that came with previous kits. I have used patterned papers and embellishments from the Destination Unknown kit and Carry On kit.

Here are a few close-ups as well:

Thanks for dropping by!

Project Life: Week 20

Hi everyone! I just want you to all know that I am still alive. I would like to share with you a PL page made with the After the Storm kit.

While waiting for my A Day in the Life kit by Scraptastic Club, I used my After the Storm kit to create a Project Life page. I saved one patterned paper in particular from the add-on, Jillibean Soup Chilled Cucumber Bitesized Bits. This type of design is always perfect for this project.

Of course, I personalized all the journaling cards using stamps add-on, washi tapes, scraps, stickers, diecuts, and a few items from my stash. It was fun to doing this but quite time consuming so I am excited with Scraptastic Club's A Day in the Life kit.

Project Life using Everything I am Kit

Hi everyone! Today, I am sharing another Project Life page that I did using the Everything I am Kit and add-ons. I am so thrilled that our kits comes with a lot of goodies that are perfect for Project Life. This month's kit and add-ons are no exemption, it comes with some journaling cards and tags, cute mini alpha stickers, and Ormulu Flair, doilies, some diecut, and amazing stamps.

Let me share with you a page that I did using the kit. This year, I decided to combine digital elements available in the web and traditional scrapbooking to add texture and dimension.

To create each panel, I usually layout everything in Photoshop so that I can get the photo size correctly. These photos were taken using my mobile phone. I mostly do my journaling in Photoshop as well  and sometimes add my own handwritting. After printing my photos and my journaling, I simply adhere them to the main card (6x4) and add a few elements for the design.

I have mainly used the Glitz Design Love You Madly Bits and Pieces patterned paper for my 6x4 cards. It is perfect for Project Life. I also adore the assorted mini alpha stickers that came with the kit add-on as well as the stamp set.

Here are some close-up shots of the 6x4 cards:

So next time you do your Project Life spreads, use the Scraptastic kits. You can use the embellishments and the small leftover patterned papers to your spread. With all the yummy goodies in each kit and add-on, you can create several layouts, cards and a Project life spread.

Project Life 2013: Cover

Okay it's a new year so it means a new chance for me to do Project Life.

I started last year but did not religiously posted all my spreadsheets on my blog. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fully commit myself to the project and failed to finish it. I was able to finish up to the month of July and decided to just add the rest on a monthly spread instead of weekly. I will commit to allocate at least 3 days each month until I complete my 2012 Project Life.

For this year, I decided to make sure that everything is organized from the photos, journaling cards, page protectors, and all the elements. I will also be using my Starbucks planner as my daily notes guide instead of relying on my iPad. I have assigned my Tuesdays to make the previous week's spreadsheet. Now, I am up to date and everything is moving as planned.

MY PL 2013 COVER

I am so ecstatic that I found Simple Stories SN@P! printable online. It was perfect for the sketch that I made for my cover. Here I have used We R Memory Keepers - Page Protectors - Three 6 x 4 One 6 x 12 Inch Photo Sleeves. The 6x12 photo sleeve was perfect for the header of my cover design. I printed and combined the SN@P! elements and arranged it to make sure that the placement was well balanced.

The three 6x4's was used to place our photos with a short description about us and our aspiration. All of the layout were digitally made in Photoshop. I decided that my PL this year will be a combination of digital elements and some traditional scrapbooking elements as well.

You can check out my PL 2012 Cover here.
