I adore the Girl Land collection. I love the softness of the colors, the
intricate details of the flowers and the doily design at the back of
the Carefree patterned paper. And the best part is, it was the perfect
collection to use for my daughter’s flower girl event held in Bali
because the wedding color theme was pink and yellow. What a coincidence,
right?

Webster Pages GDT!
Hi everyone! Just dropping by to say thank you for all your continuous support and kind words about my scrapbooking journey. I am always honoured every time I receive sweet comments from all of you.
It has been a busy summer and now, busy school days that keeps me away from my blog and even this hobby. For the past few weeks, I have been cleaning and rearranging furniture at home. I am also happy to announce that I finally have my own scraproom and I am no longer squeezing everything in our bedroom.
Today, I would like to announce that I was invited to be Webster Pages July Guest Designer. I am very humbled with the invitation. I never thought anybody will still be interested after being absent from this hobby. Thank you so much to Webster Pages for this opportunity!
Feel free to drop by at Webster Pages blog and their forum to see some of the layouts I made and all the gorgeous layouts the DTs made getting inspiration from my previous creation.

Doilies
I have hundreds of doilies in different sizes and shapes. I fell in
love with doilies a few years back when I saw an online baking store
selling them in bulk for a few dollars. I am not a baker but I am a
scrapbooker and I knew that it will be a perfect embellishment on
layouts and cards. On my page, I ruffled the doilies in layers so that
it would look like a flower-like embellishment.
Here, I have created a layout using the gorgeous Plumeria collection by BasicGrey. I love the color combination of this line. The complimentary colors of Violet and Yellow is soooo beautiful.

a Project Life 12x12 page
I am one of those who started Project Life this year. I thought it would be easy but as life goes on at the same time,so does the weeks I need to catch up. Currently I am missing over 15 weeks. The good thing is, everything is documented in my iPad and I all my photos are organized. I just need to have some time off to do it.
One of the page style I do for my Project Life is inserting a 12x12 layouts. I do this when I want to highlight an event or tell a story about the week. I also compensate this for a page layout that I do with a 12x12 photo collage from vacations.
Here I have used BasicGrey's What's Up collection. It was perfect for our Singapore trip last summer. I adore the design of this line, it made embellishing the page much easier.

BasicGrey PB&J layout
Definitely one of my stress reliever is hand cutting patterns from
patterned paper and using them as an embellishments. In this layout, I
hand cut the flowers from the Daisy Mae and Toasted
patterned papers. I love that the PB&J has a variety of colorful
patterned papers to choose from. Using flowers as inspiration, I also
made a handmade flower. To create the flower, I first punched 9 one inch
circles then folded it like a cone shape. When adhered together
following a circle pattern, I was able to improvise my own flower
embellishment.
Supplies:
PB&J collection:
Daisy Mae patterned paper:-
Toasted patterned paper -
Sunny Day patterned paper -
6x6 Paper Pad -
Alphabet Stickers -
Title Stickers -

June OUAS Sketch Challenge
I can't believe it has been a year since I was invited to be part of a new sketch challenge blog by my good friend Nadia. I was so thrilled and excited for her. OUAS has grown to be one of the most popular scrapbook challenge blog available online. With an amazing DT line up, the challenges were very inspiring and motivating. I am honored to be part of its growth.
Even though this would be my last challenge participation as an OUAS DT, I will surely play along with the challenges. I will miss my other DTs there but also excited to see a great line up of DTs that will continue to surprise the followers with their amazing interpretation of the monthly challenges.

The theme of this challenge is BIRTHDAYS.
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "BIRTHDAYS" however
you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as
much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the
sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on
your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden
journalling is perfectly fine.
Ideas for Journalling:most memorable birthday celebration for you or anyone in your family, the last birthday you celebrated
and tell us your thoughts on turning this age, your child's/other
family member's birthday and your thoughts on their age, a birthday that
was a turning point in your life and your excitement/fears or other
thoughts you had, an upcoming birthday for you or anyone and your
thoughts, the best birthday present you ever received/gave and why?. You
can also base your layout on a non - person birthday. This means your
birthday theme can be based on : a pet, a business venture, a milestone
anniversary etc etc. Its up to you how you interpret "BIRTHDAYS
Here is my take to the challenge:
I have used the gorgeous Nook May kit here

BasicGrey Scrapbook Sketch : 6.4.12
It was my turn at BasicGrey sketch challenge. This week’s sketch is for a single page, two photo layout.Sketches are always my go-to when I need immediate inspiration. For my
layout, I decided to rotate the sketch to accommodate the portrait
photos that I have. These photos were post edited using Adobe Photoshop
Lightroom so that I can get the purple hues that I wanted. I have used
the beautiful Plumeria collection because I am in love with the soft
tones of purple that is in this collection.

Imaginarium Layout
I always wanted to tryout a softer colour palette on my pages. For this layout, I showcased the silhouette of the Title Chipboard I’ve used. The photo is my sister and her gorgeous daughter. I randomly create layouts of her and her kids so that we can complete the album I gave her.
You and Me
Products Used: Bazzill
Cardstock, Masking Tape, MME patterned papers and embellishments, Pebbles brad,
Kaisercraft rubon, Shimmerz and October Afternoon Mists, and Gesso acrylic
paint
Imaginarium Design Chipboards used:
You and Me
(IDP0023)
Embellishment 4
(IDS0013)
To get a full coating
of white paint, I simply dipped the chipboards directly to my gesso container.
The effect is so beautiful. The chipboard will look as if it was made of clay
because of the thickness of the coating. Allow it to dry for a few hours.
