A Call to Chippies!

Chipboards? Who doesn't love chipboards? These are actually my go to products if I find something missing in my layouts. It makes projects interesting, it adds dimension and very fun to use when various techniques are applied.

Imaginarium Design chipboards  are one of the best in terms of quality and designs. The detailing are amazing and the edges are so smooth. Plus, their old and current DTs provides their consumers a lot of great ideas to use their products in their blog. You can check out their website to see the variety of chipboard products they have by clicking here.

Now off to déjà vu time with some of my chipboard projects:

Quick and Simple
The amazing thing about chipboards are, they can be used as is or you can simply color it and use it in your project. Even kids can do it!!!

In this layout, I just distressed the edges of the chipboard and viola! the look is perfect for the theme!

Here I have used Heart Top Picket Fence by Imaginarium. By simply using a teal paint, I was able to make everything cohesive with the color combo I used.

Shining, Shimmery, Splendid
I adore using glitters in my chipboards! The sparkle is soo gorgeous and I love the texture it creates.

 Example 2
Crackle and Distress
We all know that crackle paint and distress inks are perfect for chipboards, and I totally agree about that!

Stamping
A great way to dress chipboards is by using stamps. With all the variety of stamp images available, you can simply personalize those chipboards.

Using Chipboards as Masking Templates
I love misting on my layouts. Sometimes I use it directly on paper but most of the time I use my chipboards as templates.

The chipboard here is not visible but I used a chipboard negative to achieve my leaves background image.

Color Blending
I am a Fine Arts graduate and my love of colors is overwhelming that is why I love to blend colors.

Sand?
Yep! I used sand on my chipboards as well. I love the texture of sand so much on this card.

Overlapping
I also love overlapping my chipboards to achieve the depth that I want. I use this technique in texts or shapes.

Example 1

So by now I'm sure you were able to figure out that I am trying my luck to be part of the Imaginarium DT call. I know a lot of talented artists, scrapbookers, and cardmakers out there who'll be perfect for their team and I'm sure they will be able to get the best of the best to represent their brand. Wishing us applicants all the luck.

thanks for dropping by!
