GDT Projects for 2Scrappy Chix Design

Morning to you all! Happy Memorial Day!

I am so happy that I do not have to work today because of the celebration of Memorial Day. I was able to take this long weekend to catch up with some rest. That is also the main reason I wasn't able to post anything lately.

Anyway, I just want to share to you some projects I made using a very gorgeous and yummy kit from 2Scrappy Chix Designs. I was invited by my very gorgeous and talented friend, Theresa Merking, also the owner of 2SCD, to be their May GDT a month ago and of course I immediately said yes.

Look at this jam-packed yummy kit:

Isn't it gorgeous? It actually took me 2 days before I decided to cut them out. I was like a little girl staring on it the whole time daydreaming about it. It is so pretty.

Okay im daydreaming again LOL Here are some projects I made using the kit:

Maybe you are wondering why I am so jolly today. You're right! From my post title itself its a given that I've got mail. Not just one but 3. Wipeee!!!

Here they are:

As a DT over at Roll2Create, we were sent this yummy Kit that we can play with. Isn't it gorgeous. It has both Kaiser and BasicGrey's PPs on it with several cardstocks. Love the Petaloo flowers so much. Feel free to drop by the store to see some other awesome products!

This kit is from 2 Scrappy Chix. Totally love this one. It has the complete Webster PPs Magic Wishes Collection, a lot of laces (which I am totally crazy for), gorgeous flowers, journal spots and a lot more. I was honored to be invited by Theresa to be their GDT for May and receive this gorgeous kit. Drop by over the store because they only have 7 May kits left. Click here.

Last but definitely not the least is the scraplets I won from last month's challenge over at A2Z Scraplets. I always love their products and was privileged enough to have several on my stash. Thanks Julie for this prize pack!!! I am totally loving it!

That's it for now. I'm of to work then will be eagerly looking forward to creating new projects from these amazing stuff I received.

BasicGrey LOs

Good day to you all!

I have been a bad blogger lately and failed to update my blog. I know I was online almost everyday but I was not in the mood to write anything during those time but was in the mood of scrapping.

Anyway, I was very inspired with one of my friend's challenges over her blog (Vicki), to use only BasicGrey products. I told her that I would love to join her since I too love BG stuff and I have a few on my stash that I had been ignoring for a few months.

Here are some of my creations using BasicGrey's Porcelain Collection Pack:

I decided to create a basic and simple LO that I am not used too. I think you noticed that I am more on the detailed work so with this one, I lessen it and I cutout the word "GIRL"from a felt cloth and cutout the glasses Hannah is wearing from a leftover red cardstock and adhere it directly to the photograph.

With this LO, I used the sketch #52 over at Creative Scrappers by Kristine Davidson and was inspired by the movie Labyrinth and Ms. Jane Jones.

I have submitted both LO on to BasicGrey's Idea Gallery already and both got accepted. I really love all their collection packs and just wish I can have them all but budget is tight lately. How I wish they can sponsor me LOL.

So before I leave you today, I would also like to share with you a blog award that I got from a very talented friend, Aphra, the Friends Blog Award.

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to five bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

I would love to share this blog award to some of my new followers to show how much I appreciate each and everyone of you.

1. Ilyn
2. Jessica
3. Stephanie Rachel
4. Kris
5. Maureen

To my 5 friends listed above, Cut and paste the award logo and use it in your own blog. Nominate 5 to 10 blogs you feel show great attitude and gratitude. Link to your nominees within your blog post. Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award. Link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation.

Sorry if I cannot include everybody, that will take me forever but I would like to thank each and everyone of you who visits my blog regularly or not. I appreciate all your support and lovely comments. I always try my best to visit all of your blogs as much as I can. I love reading all about your life, your creations and your family. Thank you to all of you. Just feel free to leave a comment anytime.

Till next time sweeties

I will update this post with the material's I used. Off to Hannah now!

LAYOUTS!!!

Happy Monday!!!

I know its been a while since I posted something, I had been really busy at home taking care of my 1yr old DD. Hannah has been sick for more than a week now and I have been bringing her to her doctor a couple of times. Last Saturday we visited her pediatrician again and she was diagnosed to have mild bronchitis. She's now into several antibiotics to make her well again.

For the meantime, I would like to share to you some LOs that I did using Mon Ame's Memories April kit. I know its a bit late but I was so busy taking care of my daughter. So here it is:

And here some other LOs that I finished for the past week:

I hope and pray Hannah will get better anytime soon so that I won't get scared anymore. It was really hard seeing your baby in such pain and discomfort. So till then!

A Technique Class: Painting

Good day!

I would like to share to you my first ever technique class called "Paint Your Flower." This class was held last NSD weekend over at Mon Ame Memories. I am not sure if there is an existing class for this one but I came up with it yesterday while thinking of a unique class about using your paint.

Materials Needed:
1. White Paper Flowers or dull colored paper flowers
2. Watercolor Paint
3. Paintbrush
4. Crop-a-dile or any 1/8 puncher
5. Inkpad
6. Ink applicator or a sponge
7. additional embellishmets like brads, buttons. gems, etc.

Step 1:
Pick some white paper flowers from your stash preferably the ones you think you might not use very soon.

Photobucket

Step 2:
Choose a color combination from your watercolor paint. Choose the colors that will work best with your LO. For my example, I chose yellow, orange and red.

Step 3:
Apply your first colour to your paintbrush and gently dab it randomly to your flower.

Photobucket

Step 4:
Apply your second colour to your paintbrush and gently dab it randomly to your flower.

Photobucket

Step 5:
Do the same to your third colour finally covering the entire flower with paint.

Photobucket

You can have 2 different effects by using your watercolor paints.

If you wish to have precise pattern and solid colours and shapes into your flower, use less water.

Photobucket

If you want your colours to blend with one another, use more water. Do not be afraid to experiment on this one.

Photobucket

Step 6:
Colour your remaining flowers and set them aside for a couple of minutes to dry up.

Photobucket
Note: Be careful when handling your wet flowers because they might tear.

Step 7:
Once it is completely dry, grab a flower and start punching holes on the edge of its petal. Use a crop-a-dile or any puncher set to 1/8 size. Do the same to all the flowers

Photobucket

Step 8:
Choose an inkpad that you can use to distress the edges of your flower. I chose Ranger Distress Inkpad - Tea Dye by Tim Holtz.
With your ink applicator/sponge, gently apply a small amount of ink to the edges of the flower.
This will add dimension and a distressed look to your flowers.

Step 9:
Now feel free to embellish it as you want. You can add brads, buttons, stickes, etc.

Hope you like it! Thanks for viewing!

Good News and Bad News

Good day to you all!!!

I think you are wondering why I wasn't able to post for the past few days while everybody was celebrating NSD. Well, your guess is wrong. I was not busy scrapping, I was not out of town but the main reason why I wasn't able to scrap is because of these few Badluck:

1. My aunt died last Friday
2. My laptop died on me last Saturday
3. Need to replace my laptop immediately since I use it for work
4. Attended a company get-together
5. Need to reinstall all my application

These events were unexpected. I have planned the week ahead and thought I can finish several LOs since there had been a great amount of inspirations everywhere.

Oh well, on with the GOOD NEWS.

I thought my weekend was doomed but God does work in mysterious ways and I had received so much blessing still.

1. I was able to get a better computer, HP Pavillion A6090 with Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33Ghz Processor, 4Gig RAM, and 500Gig Hard Drive. Cool Eh?
2. I won another RAK from my dear friend Shaz.
3. I won the Blind Scrap Challenge over at A2Z Scraplets. Click here to view announcement.
4. I got an email from Angela Pruitt stating that 2 of my LOs, "Just Being Me"and "See Hannah Dreaming"will be published at Scrap N Art July/Aug Issue.

Ain't I lucky to get so much blessings despite the problems I encountered last weekend? God is truly a wonderful God.

Till next time ladies
