Finally a ME Page

Hi everyone! Just dropping by to share with you a layout that I did using photos of myself. Yes, it is not often that I share a layout with my photos on it that is why I am very excited to show you what I did.

I just used one patterned paper here and and a white cardstock. To create the background, I have used 3 colors of my watercolor tubes (teal, yellow green, and yellow) and a lot of water. To make the colors blend, I applied it while the paint was still wet.

Week 30: This Life Noted July Kit

Hi everyone! Here is my Week 30 spread using the July This Life Noted kit.

I do know that some people are doing PL spreads by color theme so the photos they use are quite filtered the same way. Looking into this kit you will notice that it is bursting with colors. It gave me freedom to use any photos that I wanted to add.

i love how everything is very easy and fun to use. It gave me more ability to do some alteration by adding a few embellishments here and there. Here are the individual pages:

  

As you noticed, aside from the July PL kit, I incorporated one journaling card from the June PL kit and some scraps from the July kit. That's what great with all the kits by Scraptastic Club, they are so coordinated that you can even mix-n-match. Here are more detailed photos of some of the journaling card layouts that I did for my Week 30 spread:

Everything is so COLORFUL! I am definitely in love with the July PL kit. Definitely my favorite spread so far for this year.

Playing with Scraptastic Club Kits

Hi everyone! LG here with a few layouts using the July kits Out On the Town and Rock Lobster.

Out of all the monthly kits, the July kits were a perfect couple. The color combination, the patterns, and the embellishments work well together. It was the reason why I ordered both kits.

Happy Life

 For my first layout, I was inspired by the photo I took of myself using my iPad. I have used a photo app that created a rainbow filter on my photo and I mimic the effect in my design by creating my own background.

I have used Gelatos to draw some lines then I blended it with water. To add interest and dimension, I used some embellishments and stamps from both kits. I adore the Maggie Homes pink ribbon and used it as an embellishment on my hair. Isn't it cute?

For my second page, I was inspired by the stripe colors of both kits as well as my daughter's tights. I took advantage of it and used it randomly in my design.

 

As you can see, I also used the line effect on the diecut that I cut using my Silhouette Cameo. This made everything cohesive.

I do hope that I was able to inspire you all this Monday to start this week with some crafty time.

 

Scraptastic Club Classy Girls Kit

Hi everyone! LG here sharing another project that I made using the Scraptastic Club Classy Girls kit and add ons.

Like any other girls, my daughter loves the color pink. She has tons of clothes, accessories, and shoes with the different hues of pink. Just imagine how excited I am when I got the Classy Girls kit. The softness of the pink color there is perfect for any girl layout.

For this layout, I played with my mist and masking templates to create a mesh look background. Inspired by the chevron patterned paper, I used similar colors of mist.

 

I had so much fun layering the stickers, patterned papers, diecuts, and Ormulo flair button. By adding liquid pearls, I was able to accent the flowers.

This was an easy page to make because the colors made everything work. You can never go wrong with the kits because it is perfectly coordinated.

Use Mist to Draw Lines Challenge

We usually use mists to, of course, mist colors on our layouts or to add splatters. This time around, I challenge you to open those caps and use the straw of the lid to draw lines on your pages. For my example, I used several colors to draw a big circle in the middle. I repeated the process several times to get a rainbow effect. The lines it created seems like I have used markers and I love the effect. I also used a white and black pen to enhance my shape.

The Scraptastic Club Carry On kit is perfect for the photo i have chosen. I also based the colors of the mists I have used with the colors of the stripe pattern paper. The circle symbolizes the circle of life and it helped they eyes to focus on all the elements as it travels with the lines.

PL Week 21 Using Scraptastic Club's June A Day in the Life Kit

LG here with my first attempt in using A Day in the Life kit that debuted last month. 

I am very excited that Scraptastic Club joined the craze over Project Life. This is my 2nd year doing Project Life and until the release of this kit, I find it quite difficult.

Unlike most of you, Becky Higgin's Project Life is not available here in the Philippines. I end up using my stash to create my PL pages. I cut my patterned papers, create handmade embellishments, make my own journaling cards, and spent a lot of time just doing a single spread. It was definitely a challenge.

With A Day in the Life kit, I can make a single spread in 1 hour because everything that I need is there. I can just actually use the journaling cards as it is, add photos, stamp a date, and write my journaling.

I had so much fun creating this spread. I spent a lot of time playing with the embellishments and personalized everything. Below are the individual pages:

Aside from the PL kit, I was able to incorporate the embellishments that came with previous kits. I have used patterned papers and embellishments from the Destination Unknown kit and Carry On kit.

Simple and Geometric

As you have all noticed, I love doing simple layouts as well. Negative space layouts that are not so cluttered but still have layering of elements involve

With my layout using the Scraptastic Club's Carry On kit, I played with the chevron shape and a rectangular shape using the entire sheet of Ormolu MADE Pennants.

This is a very simple page. I maximized the design of the chevron by adding chevron strips that I made using the cardstock that came with the kit and added hand sewn stitching.

 

A few geometric shapes thus creates an interesting layout!
