LOL

Whenever Hannah and I get bored, we do some role playing. I remember this one time that I drew some mustache on her face so that she can play a role as an Italian  chef.  We had so much fun! She was the chef while I was a customer at her lovely restaurant.

For this layout, I have used Nan's Favourites collection by Kaisercraft. The cooking theme was perfect for this fun memory I was able to capture. Inspired by Kaisercraft's March Sketch Challenge #3, here is my layout:

“Chef Dominique” layout by LG Belarmino - Nan’s Favourites collection: Patterned Papers Shortbread (P610), Lemon Slice (P615), Cherry Tart (P612), Paper Pad (PP836), Die Cut Elements (DC333), and Printed Chipboard (CB121); Timeless patterned paper (p655), Wood Flourish Hanging Plaque (FL334), Alpha Stickers (A224), Tiny Alpha Stickers Black (MA513) and Fork, Knife, Spoon Wood Flourish (FL343).

3rd wk weigh in

Time to check my progress this week. I almost forgot about this because I have been bad this last week. I was invited to several gatherings with friends and relatives and dine out in an all-you-can-eat restaurant. I admit that I ate a lot this week compared to my first 2 weeks dieting. Hey, I don't want to waste the expensive fees from these restaurants LOL. But, I am proud to say that I only ate one serving and did not came back for more. I took a little of everything :P Hannah ate more than I did LOL

One of my favorite food that I can't live without is ICE CREAM! Since I live in a tropical country, ice cream is my go to snack. Lately, instead of the regular ice cream I buy from the grocery, I substitute it with frozen yogurt. With an addition of my favorite fruits (mango and strawberries), the taste is just perfect! Thank goodness they serve this at those restaurant we went at. That was a yummy dessert.

So here we go...Just a recap, I started at 61kilos last February 7 (134lbs). Last week , Feb 16, I weighed in at 58.5kilos (129lbs). And on Feb 22, I am at 56.5kilos (124lbs). Today, I am at 54.7kilos (120.5lbs). Not bad WOOHOO!!! 6.3kilos in 26 days! I am so happy. Many thanks to 5 Kilos Scrappers Challenge blog for all the advice, information and support. They have motivated and encouraged me to do this task. Check out the blog here!

I think a couple of rounds at the stadium paid off. Last Friday, we attended this Mini Olympics event organized by Hannah's school. I was able to do several laps at the oval ring which is over 400 meters long. I did not only jog but I run. I used to be a runner back in Highschool and won several medals. My record was around 11seconds for 100m dash. It felt good running again. Actually, dh is inviting me to run at the same stadium every weekend. I think it's a fantastic idea.

Here are some photos of Hannah taken last Friday:

I am the the photographer so as always, I rarely have a photograph of myself. Will ask dh to take a photo of me this weekend so that I can compare my before and after photos.

3.7kilos more to go!!!! Yipeee!!!

it's time to weigh in

Another week has passed and here I am again giving you an update of my weight loss journey.

Just a recap, I started at 61kilos last February 7 (134lbs). Last week , Feb 16, I weighed in at 58.5kilos (129lbs). Today, I am at 56.5kilos (124lbs). Almost 5kilos in 15days. Not bad at all. I used to lose 5kilos in a week before but I am taking it slow because we are trying to get pregnant.

Here is a snapshot of my weigh in today:

I am also thrilled to let you know that I was able to create a layout using the photo I've shared last week. I rarely scrap my photos because my confidence got so low after I gained all this weight. But with this challenge, I can see myself scrapping more About Me Pages.

I have used Scrapbook Circle's February Kit "Happy Days." I just love the combination of papers and embellishments that came with the kit. It was so much fun to work with. Click here to read more about this fantastic kit!

Weight loss update

I have mentioned more than a week ago that I am currently participating on a weight challenge (click here) so here I am now giving an update of my journey to wellness.

My end goal is to lose 10 kilos (my ideal weight which is around 110lbs). My previous weight taken Feb. 7 was 61kilos (134lbs), now I am at 58.5kilos (will take a photo tomorrow morning). I lost around 5lbs!!!! YAY! If you know me personally, you will see the difference immediately when you look at my face because my face is always the first thing that gets fat/thin.

Here is a photo of myself taken last month and last February 14:

I am so happy to have lost a little weight and I do hope I will be able to reach my goal by April. I do know that as I get closer to my ideal weight, it will be harder. I just plan to continue my original plan which is eat less carbs and Timeworks workout at least 5x a week. Also, I will try the new fad in weight loss which is Zumba.

Wish me luck!

a weight challenge

Two of my co-DTs over at Kaisercraft, Karen and Nerida, started a weight loss challenge to motivate ladies like me who aim to lose some weight. I am taking the plunge because I am overweight myself. I know it is not too much but I have always been below 110lbs (49.9kilos) before I got pregnant with my daughter Hannah (I was 175lbs 2 years ago). Now, at 5'2", I am at 130+ pounds.

I tried dieting and exercising before and can only get to 120lbs. I would love to get back to my old self and gain the confidence back. This challenge will truly motivate me and inspire me as I go through this with support and encouragement from other participants.

As for February 7, 2011, I am at 61kilos. My goal weight is 50kilos and will try my best to eat right and to exercise more.

My plan: Eat less carbo, watch my calories and use my Timeworks daily.

Wish me luck!
