ScrapThat! October Kit (Part 2)
ScrapThat! Fall kit is full of warm fall colors with a splash of vibrant teal. The October kit features the Scribble Scrabble Sweet Shoppe Collection with gorgeous accent papers from Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante.
I just love the color combination of this month's kit. It was fun and challenging to use. I played with color, texture and placement on this as well:
Check out the other gorgeous works of the ScrapThat! DT at their Ning site. There you will discover that this kit is not only gorgeous but very versatile. You can incorporate different styles and have fun creating your own projects!

Quick Layout (part 1)
Hi there!!!
I am so thrilled to let you know that last Sunday I finished 5 layouts from 7am to 11am. That was a first to me since I am a very slow scrapbooker. That was also the most number of layouts I made in a day.
The Nook U finals inspired me when Leah posted a hourly challenge. The participants were fast and their creations were amazing so I decided to try it out. It was a perfect timing since I just received my Nook October kit featuring Lily Bee's Catching Fall line.
At first I was skeptical because we do not have fall season here in the Philippines, fall photos will be perfect for the kit. Instead, I have used everyday photos and just did a few photo editing to blend it with this month's kit.
I had so much fun with this layout. I have used the cardboard packaging of Lily Bee's Rub on and used it as my base paper. It was perfect since I have applied a lot of Shimmerz Paint on it.

YSS Bloghop starts now! Giveaway 1!
Welcome to Your Scrapbook Stash's Blog Hop! We are hopping from today until Saturday, September 25. Each YSS design team members will giveaway three $10 Gift Certificates from YourScrapbookStash. That means, more chances of winning. Just make sure to checkout each DT everyday this week to win.
For today, I would kickoff with a layout that I made this weekend using Echo Park's Life is Good line and some Shimmerz Paints all available at YSS Online Store.
I made this layout to showcase how fun and spontaneous Shimmerz paints are. By simply spraying, dropping, splattering on a paper, you can create a very artistic and cool design. On this page, I have used Shimmerz Vibez Pop Art Pink, a cotton candy pink with a HUGE gold shimmer to it, and Pearlz Blue by You. These colors are perfect for the Echo Park line.
There are no accidents when we talk about creativity. Just let go and don't be afraid of messing up your page. Shimmerz paints are so easy to work with. On this layout, I initially just sprayed some Pop Art Pink randomly on my page to add the gold-pinking shimmer that I want and added a lot of paint drops using Blue by You.
During the days of the Blog Hop, any orders placed will earn double points! So stock up now to save more later... I mean, seriously... you are going to be buying the stuff at SOME point right? Why not now, lol?!

Kaisercraft’s NEW Pearl Brad & Lace Packs
Pearl Brads are available in 6 vintage colours – Pearl, Latte, Soft Blue, Pink Ice, Ice Green and Chocolate.
Kaisercraft has just released four mixed lace packs – available in four colours – white, natural shades, cream and black.
Each pack contains 5 different types of lace measuring 23 1/4 inches (60cm):
To see all the packs head here.
These little gems are awesome – and are the perfect additions’ to your scrap stash!
Here was something I made using the laces and the pearl brads:
My 2year old daughter just started attending school a month ago, I decided to alter one of her old headbands because I find the new Kaisercraft laces to be perfect for this project. The patterns and the texture is so amazing for a gorgeous and fun hair accessory.
“Altered Headband” project by LG Belarmino – Kaisercraft Lace Packs white (EM926) and cream (EM927), Pearl brads pink ice (EM932), Grosgrain ribbon Little Girls (RI602) and some Shimmerz paints.
To achieve a colored look for the lace, dip it or use a brush to add some Shimmerz Paint. By using the white lace, it will allow you to achieve the color you wanted. On my project, I have used some pink and yellow colors. Here is my daughter wearing this beautiful headband. She loves it so much!

Another layout to share
Good day to all of you!
I am here again to share with you a project that I did using some Shimmerz Pearlz on doilies. I have painted some cream crochet doilies that I got with my ScrapThat! July kit featuring IOD paper line.
The amazing thing about the Shimmerz Paints is that the richness of the color and the shimmers is not lessen even if you use it on fabric. Just see how amazing the effects it gives to those doilies.

YSS Stash Faves
Have you noticed the NEW Pre-order items from the store?! Oh my goodness there are so many new CHA products to choose from and for today's Stash Faves, I will be sharing with you a layout using Pre-order Shimmerz Products. Being A Shimmerz DT gal gave me the opportunity to play with this amazing product for a few months now. Let me tell you about Shimmerz Paints:
ShimmerzTM water-based paints have the spunk and sparkle to help any project shine! They have a wide range of products from mists to paints that will surely make your projects shime like stars. By simply adding this product to your projects, you'll be able to create a project that you can call your own. Have fun, be imaginative and start creating with Shimmerz Paints available for pre-order at YSS Store!!!
Shimmerz Vibez get their name from their VIBRANT, DEEP COLORS that are INTENSE from the First Spritz....!
Shimmerz Pearlz are a little thicker and more opaque than Shimmerz Paints. Pearlz are perlescent while Shimmerz are iridescent. Pearlz have a luxurious feel. They are kind-of like a light cream consistency on paper. Shimmerz paints are more like a light body gel on paper. Do you follow?
Shimmerz Blingz are just like shimmerz only they have more sparkle and are a bit thicker . They have been called 'shimmerz on steroids.'

Butterflies and Shimmerz
I know you have read a thousand times already how much we adore the different products of Shimmerz Paints. This is because it is worth telling about! Shimmerz Paints add sparkle and shimmer to any project you want to create. It gives that special touch to everything you use it on.
Today I would like to share with you a very easy and simple 8.5"x11" layout that I did. Initially I illustrated a butterfly pattern that I would like to use on my layout. Then I used my scanner to scan the image and duplicated it on Photoshop creating different sizes. Lastly, I printed them out and individually cut my image. This is what I used as templates for my background effect.
The traditional way of draw and cut would also be fine. Simply draw the silhouette of any shape you would like to use on any leftover paper and cut them out.
These butterflies are recyclable and can be used several times. It can be used as masking or a template to create embellishments. Don't limit yourself. Try out several patterns like leaves, birds, stars, etc.

Shimmerz Product Spotlight: PEARLZ
Shimmerz has so many great products: our original Shimmerz Paints, Spritz, Vibez, Blingz and one of our newest family members...Pearlz.
You may be asking yourself what exactly are Pearlz and how do the differ from the other paints. Pearlz are creamy, more opaque and pearlescent than our Shimmerz Paints or Blingz. Think a bit more class, with a little less sass. Pearlz is Blingz and Shimmerz Paints older and more refined sibling.

Painting on Mesh
For today's post I will show to you the effects of Shimmerz Paint on Mesh. I have altered a flower mesh by Prima and a strip of tulle cloth. I have used my ScrapThat!'s July Kit featuring Creative Imagination's Iron Orchid Designs line. This is one gorgeous kit that is a must have.
Painting mesh will require a little patience because if you desire for a 2 tone or 3 tone effect, you need to wait for each layer to dry before applying a new color. This is very easy with Shimmerz Paints because they are fast drying.
The 2 big flower mesh were originally color silver. I painted the first coat with Shimmerz Pearlz Sunny Side Up, then Espresso and finally This Spuds 4U.
The same technique was used on a trip of white tulle but this time I have only used Shimmerz Pearlz Espresso.

Aside from those, I enjoyed altering the butterlies and the small little yellow flowers and leaves using those 3 colors.

Thanks for dropping by!

Using Templates to Create a Background
Just sharing a layout that I did using some gorgeous Shimmerz with a template. I have created my own background paper by simply spraying some Shimmerz Spritz and Vibez. I have coordinated my designed cardstock with My Scrapbook Nook's June Kit featuring papers from My Minds Eye new collection, So Sophie.
With a white cardstock, I usedmy Chatter Box Doodle Plate(Botanical) as my template. Sprayed 2 colours of Shimmerz Spritz (Sea Foam and Tuscan Sun) and 1 colour of Shimmerz Vibez (Grape Escape). Doing this technique is very recommendable if you want to create your own patterned paper from a plain cardstock. You can choose your own colours and play around.
The effect of the Spritz and Vibez is really gorgeous. After spraying on the template, I added a few more random spray without the template. It added softness to the patterns.
On the tree and felt bird, I have painted it with the New Shimmerz Pearlz Samrock and Sunny Side Up. I wanted this part to be the focalpoint of my layout thus making it shimmery and more vibrant.

Two!!!
It is really amazing watching Hannah grow up. I just love my job right now because it allows me to be with her most of the time. I can experience each milestone with her, guide her and support her as she grows up.
That was my inspiration when I made this layout using SD4U June Kit featuring BasicGrey's Kioshi line. The softness of the colors on this kit motivated me to create something very sentimental to me.
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Papers: BasicGrey Kioshi
Alpha: PinkPaislee
Diecut Sticker: BasicGrey Kioshi
Paint: Shimmerz Pearlz
Butterfly: Prima Marketing
Pins: Jenni Bowlin
Others: Fiskar Border Punch, Liquid Pearls, blings
